In life Shade was a lively person he liked to hang out in bars and clubs telling stories of old and taking to people having a good time. He was outgoing and helped people whenever he could and was very good with the ladies. After he was killed and came back he still loved to talk to people and tell stories of things that he could remember which wasn't alot anymore, but he had a urge to find and kill the man that killed him. 
In battle shade is cold hardly talking and kills without mercy most of time although he tries to fight it. He don't think a hole lot in battle instead using his natural abilities to evade and counter attack most of time.

Background: darius nathaniel weathers 
In life Darius was a very charismatic person. He would tell stories at clubs and bars and was good with the ladies. He seamed to spend more time at the bar then he did at home. one night he was at the bar when a man walked in wearing a long coat and a hat. he said he had a way for him to make a lot of money in a short amount of time, so darius listened to him he said that all he needed to do was be at the docks at midnight. He wasn't going to go but the guy said it would pay half a million bucks. 
So darius goes down to the docks at midnight like he was suppose to. A little after midnight a boat docks and out comes a vampire. The vampire attacks him thinking that he would make a good meal for the start of the night. darius didn't stand much of a chance against the vampire and died quickly. After the vampire fed on him he left and went into town. after the vampire left the guy from the bar goes into the boat, and comes out with a big chest filled with gold. 
A few years later he awakes in his grave he freaks out panics in the coffin. he goes to hit the wood and his hand goes through the wood. He quickly swims out of the the coffin and through the dirt. upon getting to the surface he falls on his back and has a flash of what happened before he died. he saw the man that  killed him, and he was filled with rage. He cant remember much of his past not even his name all he can remember is who killed him and now he is wondering the world looking for the man that killed him and trying to do good when he can.
